E-mail TonyI came to Woodward on December18th,1983. My calling has always been from an intimate knowledge that God has lead me here and when my days are done, He will be faithful to lead me away from this place of service. In the twenty five years that I have lived in Woodward, I have had a strong conviction that I am to be a shepherd of these people, thus I have not accepted very many opportunities to be gone from my responsibilities for any length of time.
If I were to die or leave this ministry, I would like to be remembered as a man that loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, a person of prayer, a soul winner, a servant, and a person that had an intense love for children.
The best days of First Baptist Church are ahead of us. The community is changing and our challenge is to change with the community. The message that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father will never change. Methods and programs may change but the command of the Lord to "go ye" must always take us outside of our walls to reach people.
With that said, "come be a part of a fellowship that seeks to transform this community with the message of Christ."
