Celebration Choir
Have I got a Deal for you this 2010 Fall season. Several Years ago we got together as a large choir and had what we called a Gospel Gathering. It was a great time of singing and fellowship. Some have asked over the last several years when we were going to do it again. Here is you chance.
I was preparing for our Fall/Christmas season and remembered that I am always called upon to present something for Crystal Christmas. Each time I would have loved to, but my program just didn’t quite work and seemed like we just weren’t ready when the committee needed us. I have really been convicted lately of the need to take the true meaning of Christmas to the masses. Most of us in the church know that Message but never get it much further that the front doors of the buildings. So, God gave me the idea of preparing a Christmas Cantata and taking it to the people of this area. Of course, then my mind began to run away with the idea and I thought what a great opportunity to contact my singing friends, YOU, and have you join us. I presented the idea to the Crystal Christmas committee and they loved it. So now I need you desperately to come through.
We will meet each Wednesday night at First Baptist Church’s choir room. We will rehearse roughly an hour each rehearsal. Then as time draws closer we will have a couple of dress rehearsals and on December 11 and 12, in the evening, surrounded by thousands of light, we will present “Comfort and Joy” in the band shell at the park. I have alternative plans for inclement weather so don’t worry, just come join the fun. It’s a first and could be a tradition. We will begin rehearsals September 15th at 7:30 p.m. Tell your singing friends to come join us.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of something spectacular and impact this area with a positive message this Christmas.
Planning on your participation,
Les Castor
